This online resource is dedicated to the histories and connections we have with the Parramatta Female Factory convict women. We honour their lives through sharing historical research relating to the site and the womens’ experience. Their lives were determined by Colonial transportation but not defined by this experience.

This site also honours Australia’s first peoples. I respect elders past, present and emerging and walk on these lands and tell histories with the knowledge that Aboriginal histories are the first ones on the female factory site and respect the continuing relationship with land and culture.
